CONDITIONS OF ENTRY (deadline 30th October 2016)

The ARTWARD, initiated by the Independent Contemporary Art Advisors ICAA e.K., awarded aready for the 9th time supports highly talented fine artists.

The following scholarships will be announced:

-a financial award to support artistic practice of € 4,000,-
-a newcomer award of € 1,000,-
-a 6 week Artist-in-Residenc in the studio loft by Belgian collector Alain Servais, Brussels.
-a public choice award of € 300,-

The annual budget for 2016 is 15.000 €. The announcements is open to artists up to the age of 40, debutants and art students from the areas of painting, sculpturing, photography, installation, video, media art, and new media. The goal is to support artists to implement new projects.Each candidate is presented with its own online gallery on the website www.artward.de.

Our focus is the transparent and democratic promotion of artistic creativity through financial support and sustainable public awareness. The final decision regarding the award of prizes is made by the board of ARTWARD and a jury of art-world professionals.

In order to apply, applicants must use the official application form below. Applications not complying to this rule will not be considered. After registration of the competition entry we confirm this by email.
To cover the administrative, personnel, programming and logistics costs associated with entering the contest, a participation fee of € 20,50 - must be paid. While you pay the fee, you can benefit from the ARTWARD platform and our active public relations. The fee is payable by submitting the application and is not refundable. How did you become aware of the ARTWARD? (mandatory)

I, the artist, state that I am the sole maker of the work entered in competition, and that I own all rights over the work and its use and copyright, and that the work is free from all third-party claims, including their agreement to its further use. All submitted work and images of that work may be used for the competition and its publicity, for unlimited duration. The organizer has the right to publish all works and, or, images of works entered in connection with the competition, when the work, or images of work appear with the name of the artist. No fee or recompense will be paid or given to the artist for such use of their work and, or, images of their work. Moreover, ICAA e.K. attempts to integrate the candidates of the ARTWARD in customer projects and long term promotion. ICAA e.K. reserves the right to resort the data in the online platform www.artward.de. The rights of the artist remain unaffected. With my application I accept all terms and conditions. The jury of art-world professionals meets end of November 2015.
